NHS Grampian chooses ExtraMed
19 March 2008
NHS Grampian is the latest health service user to adopt ExtraMed's BEDS, bed management system, licencing the system for use in it's hospitals across the region.
Initially trialled in five wards of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the system has proven so popular with clinical staff that it is now being rolled out across the entire hospital, managing over 1000 beds. The Pilot Study aimed to ascertain if clinical staff would find the system useful in their day-to-day work - results were emphatically positive. The Board intend to make the system available in all of its nine hospitals over time. NHS Grampian joins Bedford NHS Trust, Bolton NHS Trust, East Cheshire NHS Trust, North Cheshire NHS Trust and Lothian Health Board as a BEDS user.
