ExtraMed Limited is an innovative and dynamic software company which makes the NHS's most popular patient flow solution. Founded in 2002, ExtraMed has enjoyed year on year growth in customer numbers because doctors, nurses and managers find our systems easy to understand, easy to use and easily adaptable to their specific needs.

We have been recognised for our innovation, reliability and customer service. ExtraMed were awarded the Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley "Best New Business" accolade in 2002, and we were finalists in the Enterprising Scotland 2003 Awards and again at the Scottish Software Awards in 2008.

Our products help customers to improve patient safety, improve operational processes and reduce costs. We focus on replacing the traditional dispersed paper and whiteboard based processes for tracking patients and patient needs with an integrated IT system providing one shared view across the trust. We have helped Acute and Primary Care customers to reduce Length of Stay, achieve the 18 week RTT and 4hr A&E targets while saving money and improving patient outcomes.
